Hi, my name is Zhijie Xu. I have recently joined Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in the beautiful Chinese city of Suzhou as the Head of the Department of Computing (CPT) within the School of Advanced Technology. I am excited to get started in my new role and look forward to working with talented new colleagues within XJTLU. Before joining XJTLU in 2024, I worked as a full professor specializing in visual computing at the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom.

Yushan Pan(M'22, SM'24) was born and raised in Xi'an. After completing my basic education and undergraduate studies there, Yushan moved to Norway for a 12-year period, during which he studied, worked, and lived. Since 2022, Yushan has been a part of XJTLU, where he is actively involved in research at the intersection of human-centric computing and software engineering. Prior to XJTLU, he worked at University of Oslo, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Parametric Technology Corporation.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. I obtained my PhD in Computer Animation from National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), Bournemouth University in 2021. Before embarking on my academic career, I worked in the animation and VFX industry in technical roles, I led a technical team in 3D animation film production and also served as a pipeline technical director in the production of several Hollywood feature films.

Dr. Wang is a Lecturer at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. His research currently focuses on the field of Human-Computer/Robot Interaction (HCI/HRI) with particular concentration on crowdsourcing, location-based games, and digital user behavior and modeling. He has published his work in multiple top-level journals and conferences, namely the ACM Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work And Social Computing (CSCW), and more.

Dr. Yangbin Chen is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong and his B.Eng. in Automation from University of Science and Technology of China. Prior to joining XJTLU, he worked in a medical technology startup as machine learning VP. His research interests include few-shot learning, spoken language processing, and machine intelligence in healthcare applications.

Dr. Haiyang Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Jilin University and a Ph.D. from the University of Limerick, where she specialized in Recommender Systems with full scholarship. Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Zhang served as a Research Associate at the University of Sheffield from 2018 to 2021, where she further honed her expertise in data-driven research methodologies.
